Mukinbudin is located 296 kilometres North East of Perth in the North Eastern Wheatbelt. The population of the Shire of Mukinbudin is approximately 800. The climate is moderate with cool wet winters with an average rainfall of 300mm. Winter temperatures range from 0 degrees Celsius to 26 degrees Celsius with frequent frosts during July and August. Summers are dry and hot with temperatures ranging from 18 degrees Celsius to 45 degrees Celsius. Spectacular electrical storms are experienced in January and February.
